March 18, 2003 - Parent Organization's Law Student Night @ Gibson's

On Thursday, March 18, 2003, the Justinian Society of Cook County will host their monthly meeting. This meeting is of special importance to Student Chapters because the meeting is LAW STUDENT NIGHT!!! The meeting will be held at Gibson's, located at 1028 N. Rush. The event will begin with cocktails at 6PM, and dinner at 7PM. The Society is sympathetic to the excessive costs of law school and makes every effort to ensure that every law student that attends the meeting will be sponsored by an attorney (which means that most likely you will eat some really good food at no cost to you!). It is important that we make a strong showing at this event in order to continue the attendance record that Kent has had at previous Law Student Nights. Also, this meeting will be the best time for you to make the kind of professional contacts that so many of us need. The Judges and Lawyers who attend this meeting are coming to meet you; so without you there can be no meeting. It is extremely important that you try to attend this event. If you are interested in attending, please email Michael Ori @ mjsabori@hotmail.com, and he will RSVP with Tony Romanucci.

March 21, 2003 - John Marshall 2nd Annual Culture Fest

On Friday, March 21, the John Marshall Justinan Society, in conjunction with other Ethnic Bar Associations, will present the 2nd Annual Culture Fest. The event will take place in the Second Floor Student Lounge beginning at 6PM and continuing until approximately 9PM. There is a $5 dollar ticket price in advance or $7 dollars at the door. This event was a huge success last year and hopefully, with all of your support, will be again this year. Culture Fest will feature food from around the World, representing the various Ethnic Bars participating in the event. Many law students, lawyers and administrators will be in attendance, including many members of Ethnic Bars throughout Chicagoland. This will be a great networking opportunity for you all. If you would like to purchase advance tickets to this event, please email me and I will secure a ticket for you. Following the meeting, many of our members and members of other organizations will adjourn to Manhattan's Bar. Please join us for this exciting night.

The blood drive will be on Wednesday, April 16, 2003 from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm in the Event Room. Still accepting submissions for the Justinian Society Cookbook

We are still accepting recipes for the Justinian Society Cookbook. All submissions should be sent to Melissa Ventrone at mventrone@kentlaw.edu. The goal is to have the Cookbook ready by mid April, so time is running out for you to have your favorite Italian recipe included in the cookbook. All proceeds of the the cookbook will be going to the Children's Memorial Hospital, so all of your help will go to a good cause.
