Blood and Platelet Drive for Children's Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, April 16, 2003
The blood and platelet drive that we are doing with Children's Memorial Hospital will be held on Wednesday, April 16th from 9:00-3:00 on the 10th floor.
Appointments are available every half hour for blood donation, and every two hours for platelet donation. The actual draw process takes
approximately 5-10 minutes for blood and an hour and forty five minutes
for platelets. You can respond to Christian Pezzuto at cpezzuto@kentlaw.edu with a time of your choice.
Please consider donating. All blood and platelets that are collected
stay at Children's Memorial Hospital. One of the main usages of platelets is for leukemia patients. A platelet donation will likely help two sick children. If you donated at the ABA drive, you are still eligible for this drive.
If you are interested in more information on this worth cause, contact Christian, who has pamphlets on platelet donation.
Please spread the word about this drive. For more information, please
either contact me or visit Children's website at

April 17th Parent Organization dinner meeting at Harry Caray's
On Thursday, April 17, the Justinian Society's Parent Organization will be hosting a dinner meeting at Harry
Caray's, which is located at 33 W. Kinzie St. The night's activities will include the new Nomination of Officers for the Parent Organization. Cocktails begin at 6:00 PM, and dinner will start at 7:00 PM.
As always, it is important that Chicago-Kent's Justinian Society continue to have a predominant showing at these events. In addition, there will be many attorneys and judges present at the meetings, giving all law students a great opportunity to network with many significant figures in the legal community. And of course, the members always make a concerted effort to make sure all law students' dinners are paid for in advance.
We look forward to seeing everyone there!!
