One more month!!!!!

Hope all is well with everyone.....As we near the end of this semester we begin getting ready for the next (please try to contain your excitement).  During the spring KJF has its annual auction.  Last year we collected over $15,000!  We have a live auctioneer, a silent auction, a raffle, all you can eat and all you drink be it from a keg or a bottle!!!  Volunteers are needed asap so that we can make this auction even better than the last.

Until then....Justice Justice shall prevail

Rebecca Kohn - KJF Prez.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED AT OUR LAST BAKE SALE AND TO THOSE WHO MADE DONATIONS!!! WE RAISED OVER $100***  KJF has an overflowing tupperware lost&found...if you may have forgotten to pick yours up after a bake sale or the spaghetti dinner please email rebecca kohn (rkohn@kentlaw.edu) to arrange a time for pick up.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

If you missed last week's meeting about getting ready for KJF's 11th Annual Spring Auction DO NOT DESPAIR!!!!  There is plenty to be done and volunteers are needed.  The work is simple.  You will receive a list of addresses to which we will be requesting donations for the auction.  All you have to do is open a mail merge document (directions can be sent to you via email upon request) and type in the information we've supplied you with!!  We have thousands of letters to send out this years and we need your help!!!  If you are interested email Auction Chair Sara Groom (sgroom@kentlaw.edu) or Rebecca Kohn (rkohn@kentlaw.edu).

DONATE-A-PHONE: KJF will be starting a "Donate-a-Phone" campaign in the coming weeks. No longer used cell phones will be collected and sent to the Wireless Foundations "Call to Protect" program through which victims of Domestic Violence receive donated wireless phones and matching airtime. The phones will be pre-programmed to dial 9-1-1 and one non-emergency number to enable a victim to summon help with the push of a button and assist in the transition from a life of fear to afeeling of protection 24 hours a day.

Want to know how you can help??? Email Rebecca Kohn (rkohn@kentlaw.edu)for more details.

Are you interested in pursuing an internship in various kinds of Public Interest Law but you don't know where to start!! Let PIRC do the work for you. PIRC is in Room 654.
