Countdown to the Auction!!!


5:00pm Silent Auction & Raffle Open

6:30pm  Live Auction Bidding Begins

There will be an intermission during the live auction

Purchase of a ticket buys you all you can drink WINE & TAP BEER, FOOD AND OTHER GOODIES!!


Students  $8 advance  $10 door

Non-Students  $10  $12 door

Join KJF and Public Interest Resource Center (PIRC) in the fight against Domestic Violence! Take part in "Call to Protect" a program to collect used cell phones for Victims of Domestic Violence!! All phones will be erased and reprogrammed with emergency numbers- a help line to the outside world. Even if you have a used cell phone you think is broken you can still donate the phone to the program. If you can, include chargers etc. that came with the phone. All donations are tax deductible. If you have a call phone to donate please email KJF President Rebecca Kohn at to arrange a time to drop off your donation.


Voices for Illinois Children Run/Walk

This organization, a non-partisan childrens advocacy organization, is holding its annual 5k/10k Run/Walk on Saturday April 27, at the lakefront and Randolph St.  

Both Runners and Volunteers are needed to participate on Race Day.  A volunteer kick-off will be held on March 16 at 8:30am at Ann Sathers' (929 W. Belmont).

The Kent Justice Foundation will be forming a Team for this event if enough people are interested. Please email if you would like to participate as a team in this charity race.


*******SPRING FLING*******

On Wednesday April 17. from 6-8pm, the Young Lawyers Section will host an evening of arts and crafts, pizza, and socializing with the women and children of a Wrigleyville home for domestic violence victims.  

Volunteers are needed to assist in all facets of having a good time.  Interested Volunteers should call Charis Runnels at 312.609.7111 or

Applications for the KJF Summer Fellowship Program will be available after the Spring Auction.  Announcements will be posted and an email will be sent out with details for the application process.

There will also be elections held for KJF Executive Board Positions at the end of April.  Any positions unopposed will be held by the same people as this year.


Public Interest Resource Center (PIRC): Are you looking for an opportunity to get involved in community service? Are you interested in pursuing an internship in various kinds of Public Interest Law but you don't know where to start!! Let PIRC do the work for you. PIRC is in Room 654. You tell us what you are looking for, your interests and your goals and we'll find the opportunity that best fits your needs. KJF is Chicago-Kent's Public Interest Organization...our goal is to raise money for our Summer Fellowship Program so that Law students may pursue an internship in the area of public interest and non-profit organizations.
