The Chicago—Kent Lambdas is a club dedicated to the promotion of the equality and justice for LGBT people in the community. The Chicago—Kent chapter attempts to educate law students and the larger community concerning the legal issues that affect gay, lesbian and transgendered people. In addition to speakers, the chapter also observes National Coming Out Day, and recently helped to bring the Safe Space program to the campus to provide gay, straight, and questioning students a safe space to voice their concerns and to seek help and information.
For its efforts and improved visibility in the Chicago—Kent community, the Lambdas were awarded the Chicago—Kent Club of the Year Award for the 2005-06 academic year.
