The perfect gift doesnít cost anything. Itís better than a stereo, better than books, better than a scholarship or a vacation. Itís the gift of life. You donít have to know the recipient of your gift or why they need it. You will just know that because of you and your donation, they have a better shot at survival.
To choose your donation time and sign up, or if you have any questions, you can contact Caroline Cascino by email at ccascino@kentlaw.edu. This is such an easy way to give back and save a life.  Please make an appointment right now!

Smoke-Free Chicago Action Day

Wednesday, October 5th from 11:30 - 12:45 and from 4:00-6:00 on the 3rd floor outside the Spak

Every day eight people in Illinois die from second-hand smoke.  THAT STINKS!

COME SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR A SMOKE-FREE CHICAGO AND GET A FREE T-SHIRT!

The Chicago City Council will soon be voting on an ordinance to make Chicago smoke-free in all indoor public places, including workplaces, restaurants and bars.  Chicago is the largest city in the country not to have such a ban in effect Ė New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and hundreds of other municipalities have already taken this important action to protect public health. Come show your support for a smoke-free Chicago next Wednesday, October 5 on the 3rd floor of Spak (from 11:30 am Ė 12:45 pm and from 4 Ė 6 pm).  You can learn more about efforts in Chicago, tell the city council and mayor to support a safer, cleaner Chicago, and sign up to support the campaign.  THE FIRST 20 PEOPLE WHO CONTACT THEIR ALDERMAN NEXT WEDNESDAY WILL GET A FREE SMOKE-FREE CHICAGO T-SHIRT!  For more information, visit www.smokefreechicago.org or email lmarcus@kentlaw.edu.

Thank you to everyone who made it to Washington, DC

It was great to see everyone in Washington!  Thank you to Katie, Luis, Austin, and Matt for going down there to show your support and be part of the process.  The NLG will keep everyone posted on other upcoming protests and events and I promise, we'll get someone in to train you to be legal observers first!  (and your hat will be FREE, Austin!)  I had a great time.  Thank you!
