SUPPORT FOR A SMOKE-FREE CHICAGO AND GET A FREE T-SHIRT!
The Chicago
City Council will soon be voting on an ordinance to make Chicago
smoke-free in all indoor public places, including workplaces,
restaurants and bars. Chicago is the largest city in the
country not to have such a ban in effect – New York, Los
Angeles, Boston, and hundreds of other municipalities have
already taken this important action to protect public health.
Come show your support for a smoke-free Chicago next Wednesday,
October 5 on the 3rd floor of Spak (from 11:30 am –
12:45 pm and from 4 – 6 pm). You can learn more about efforts
in Chicago, tell the city council and mayor to support a safer,
cleaner Chicago, and sign up to support the campaign. THE FIRST
20 PEOPLE WHO CONTACT THEIR ALDERMAN NEXT WEDNESDAY WILL GET A

Austin, and Matt for going down there to show your support and
be part of the process. The NLG will keep everyone posted

someone in to train you to be legal observers first! (and
your hat will be FREE, Austin!) I had a great time.
