Chicago-Kent PALS organization was formed to help parents
attending law school balance their school activities,
educational needs, and career goals with their family lives.
PALS will provide support, networking opportunities, and
resources for students who are parents, caregivers, or who are
interested in family-work life topics. PALS will sponsor
presentations on career paths and family-work issues,
networking events open to students and their families, and
participate in the Chicago-Kent Parents E-mail Discussion
Forum. Our goals include establishing a mentor program,
creating a directory of students with families, and making
improvements in available child-care resources on

2008 KICK-OFF General Meeting And Halloween
in your calendars for PALSí KICK-OFF General Meeting and
Halloween Party. Wear a costume and bring the whole
family. It is TENTATIVELY scheduled for Sunday, November
2, 2008 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at one of Chicago-Kentís event
rooms. More details to follow soon. In the meantime, contact

12, 2008 at 5 p.m. Dinner with Dorothy
variety of diverse student groups are pleased to announce that
Dorothy Brown, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County (the
LARGEST unified court system in the world) will be speaking at
Chicago-Kent on Wednesday, November 12th at 5 p.m.
dinner is co-sponsored by the Evening Law Student Society, the
Black Law Students Association, Women In Law, The Chicago-Kent
Parent As Law Students, and the SBA.
