The Student Bar Association is Chicago-Kent's student government, elected by and representing nearly 1000 students
The SBA is also an umbrella organization overseeing nearly forty student groups and organizations, each reflecting the diverse and distinctive Chicago-Kent student body. The SBA determines the budget of each approved student group and ensures that the funds are spent properly.
The SBA works with the faculty and administration to coordinate community service events, speaker events, social events, alumni events, and the organization of committees to improve library, academic, and curricular policies.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Chicago-Kent Student Bar Association is to:
- Insure academic excellence and professional growth among the students
- Insure the attainment and preservation of the right of the individual student to acquire a quality legal education in a just and reasonable manner
- Facilitate interaction and communication between the students, the faculty, and the administration
