ABA SPONSORED GOLF OUTING
The ABA is planning a golf outing for sometime in
mid-October. Cost and details are yet to be determined, but
the course will be about 20-30 minutes outside of Chicago. Any

determined the number of student who are interested in
participating.
VOLUNTEER TO BE AN ELECTION JUDGE ON NOV. 2!
There is a shortage of Election Judges in the Chicago Area
for the November 2004 Presidential Elections, and you can
help. Election judges assist at the poles and play an
important role in making the elections run smoothly.
Apply and be selected as an Election Judge in the General
Election t his November and get paid at least $100 for
working the full day! You do not need to declare a political
party to participate.
Election Date: Tuesday, November 2, 2004
Application Due Date: As Soon As Possible

soon as possible if you are interested or have questions.
Then, it's as easy as filling out an application. There is a
recommended 4-hour training class before the elections which
you will get an additional $50 for taking.

In order to qualify as a judge of election, an applicant
must:
1. Be a citizen of the United States;
2. Be a registered voter in Cook County;
3. Be of good repute and character;
4. Be able to speak, read and write the English language;
5. Be skilled in the four fundamentals of arithmetic
(addition,
subtraction, multiplication and division);
6. Be of good understanding and capable;
7. Not be a candidate for any office at the election; or
8. Not be a precinct captain.
