Society of Women In Law - Chicago-Kent College of Law
Mentorship Programs

Women in Law has two distinct mentorship programs for its members.  Should you have any questions about either of these programs, please contact us at wil@kentlaw.edu.

Student/Student Mentorship Program:
Each year WIL pairs incoming 1L members with upperclass members that, if possible, are interested in or have experience in a particular area or sector of law.  The mentors are there to answer questions not only about the study or practice of law in a particular area, but also law school life in general.  A Mentorship Reception is held in the Fall semester so mentors and mentees can meet each other and other WIL members.

If you are a dues-paying WIL member and would like to participate in this program, please complete a Mentorship Application, found on the WIL bulletin board, and return it to the WIL mailbox on the 2nd floor.

DEADLINE FOR RETURNING MENTORSHIP APPLICATION:

Student/Practitioner Mentorship Program:
Last spring, WIL organized a formal mentorship program that paired several WIL members with female attorneys throughout Chicago.

We're always looking for more mentors.  If you know an attorney who would be willing to participate in this program, please forward us her name, address, employer, phone number, and/or any other information you have so that we may contact her and invite her to participate.
