GLASS SLIPPER PROJECT

We've collected the dresses, now let's dress those girls! The Glass Slipper Project DESPERATELY NEEDS VOLUNTEER PERSONAL SHOPPERS FOR THIS SATURDAY, APRIL 15 AT 619 W. CHICAGO AVENUE (corner of Chicago and Larabee). The boutique will be open to students from 10 to 5 pm.  They will need volunteers from 9 am to 7 pm (maybe later).  They could use your help all day but if you can only spare a few hours, that would be great, too.  They also need help setting up the boutique on Friday April 14 from 5 to 7 pm. Please sign-up to volunteer by clicking on this link:
www.angelfire.com/oh3/glassslipper/listbot.html

The boutique is being held at 619 W. Avenue (Southwest corner of Chicago Ave. and Larabee), 8th floor. If you are using the CTA, take the Brown Line El to Chicago Ave. and walk west two blocks.  To get to the gated parking area (which is on the  south side of the building), take Chicago Ave. to Kingsbury and go south.  (Kingsbury is east of Larabee and is also accessible from Grant Ave.) From Kingsbury, go west on Superior.  You'll see the gated area at Superior and Larabee, and you can park there.  Enter at the front door of the building on Larabee, and proceed to the 8th floor.

Below is some misc info:

-The building is not heated and it's CHILLY/COLD inside.  PLEASE dress
accordingly .... think layers ... a sweatshirt, sweater or fleece pullover
is a good idea!  Also, wear comfortable shoes.

- Please wear jeans and a black top.

-Valuables:  Unfortunately, they don't have a secured space for your
valuables, so to the extent possible, try not to bring a purse.

-LUNCHES:  Lunch will be provided for those staying a full day.  Please do
not take a lunch if you are only staying for the morning, or only for the
afternoon, as we have a limited number of lunches.

-JOBS OTHER THAN "PERSONAL SHOPPERS":  We are also in need of
volunteers at the boutique to do jobs other than being a "personal shopper."
On the day of the boutique, just let them know you're interested.  (You do NOT need to email them for this purpose.)

- After the boutique (i.e., after 5pm on Saturday) they need people to help box up remaining dresses to save for next year and sort through dresses to
give to Goodwill (instead of saving).  If you can help out after 5pm, please
do so!  They appreciate all the time you can give!  Significant others are
welcome!
